Diplomatic relations between Russia and Kuwait were established back in 1963, when the Russian Federation was still part of the USSR – despite this fact, the trade and economic activities have not been too active since then. However, Kuwait is one of our priority directions as a country of the Persian Gulf.

Kuwait is a state in southwest Asia which has access to the Persian Gulf. This small country has land borders with countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

Kuwait has well-developed industries of oil production, oil refining, petrochemicals and fertilizer production, which export their products to Russia. In turn, metals, metal products and natural plant-based goods are imported in Kuwait.

Cargo transportation between Kuwait and Russia

Since Kuwait does not have a well-developed railway system, the only possible delivery options that remain are air, sea and multi-modal transportation.

The most optimal route is the following: firstly, cargo in a truck from any point of Russia transits through Iran. Then, in the ports of Bushehr or Bandar Abbas we reload it into containers and deliver to the port of El Kuwait.
